My stay at The Westin Guadalajara was a mix of comfort and some challenges. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and I loved the spacious room with a great bed and a wonderful bathroom. However, the food at the restaurant didn’t meet my expectations, and the location was a bit far from the city's main attractions.

Rooms
10.0
My room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. It had a coffee maker, a fridge, and a safe hidden behind modern closet doors.
Service
8.0
The staff was friendly and helpful, though I did encounter some hiccups with communication regarding my spa treatments. However, they eventually assisted me, which I appreciated.
Location
6.0
While the hotel is right in front of the EXPO, I found the general location to be poor as it’s about 20 minutes away from the better parts of the city.
Dining
5.0
I was disappointed with the dining options. I tried the restaurant three times and everything I ordered was lacking in quality, from the soups to the burger.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers various facilities like room service and laundry, but I found that spa treatments require advance bookings and could be a bit pricey.

My stay at The Westin Guadalajara had its highlights and low points. The staff were fantastic, providing friendly and professional service, especially Daniel during breakfast. However, I faced issues with the dining quality and some maintenance problems that affected my experience significantly. Overall, it was a mixed bag.

I had a challenging experience at The Westin Guadalajara. While the staff was friendly and the hotel was comfortable, the cleanliness and service left much to be desired. The food from the restaurant also didn’t meet expectations and contributed to my disappointment during the stay.

Rooms
5.0
The suite layout was awkward with a narrow passage, and I found the towels to be rough and stained. The bathroom had peeling paint and mildew, which was very disappointing for a Westin.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly, the overall service lacked efficiency. I experienced long waits and issues with room service, which detracted from the experience.
Location
5.0
The hotel is conveniently located across from the Guadalajara Expo, although I felt the location was somewhat boring at night. Getting to nearby locations required using a ride-sharing service.
Dining
5.0
Dining was underwhelming, with meals lacking quality. I found the food to be mediocre, especially the pastries that were not baked properly. It didn’t live up to the standard expected at a Westin.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had decent facilities, including room service and laundry, but the overall cleanliness of the room fell short. It made me hesitant to fully utilize what they offered.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at The Westin Guadalajara. The hotel boasts comfortable rooms and great staff, but the location felt a bit isolated at night, and I encountered cleanliness issues that were disappointing. Overall, aspects like the amenities and service were good, but they fell short in certain areas that affected my experience.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were roomy, comfortable, and equipped with a coffee maker and fridge, though mine had a sticky counter that wasn't cleaned well upon my arrival.
Service
6.0
Service was friendly, and I appreciated the promptness when I reported issues, but I did feel a bit overlooked at times, especially by the front desk.
Location
6.0
While close to the convention center, the location felt unsatisfying for shopping and dining, which made me hesitant to explore at night.
Dining

Dining options were disappointing; I had issues with the food quality at the restaurant, but the staff, especially a bartender named Carlos, made the experience better with his fantastic suggestions.

5.8/10

My stay at The Westin Guadalajara was a mixed bag. On one hand, the hotel offers spacious suites with stylish bathrooms and comfortable beds. On the flip side, I encountered significant service issues and a disappointing dining experience that don't align with my expectations for a Westin hotel. Overall, I had some enjoyable moments, but the negatives left a lasting impression.

Rooms
7.0
The suite I stayed in was spacious with a stylish bathroom that featured both a tub and a shower, but the layout felt awkward. I appreciated the amenities like the coffee maker and fridge, although the design made navigating to the bedroom a bit cramped.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss during my stay. While some staff members were friendly and tried to help, others seemed to lack engagement. I found it frustrating that essential items were often missing from my room, leading me to request replenishments at the front desk frequently.
Location
6.0
The location next to the convention center was convenient, but it felt a bit isolated without much nightlife nearby. For those looking to explore more of Guadalajara, I'd recommend relying on rideshare services to access other areas.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were underwhelming. While my breakfast on the last day was good, previous meals were disappointing, and I experienced some inedible dishes that didn't live up to hotel standards. I found better options next door at the Barcelo.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities included room service and laundry services, which were nice to have. However, I had issues with housekeeping that detracted from my overall experience, especially given that the basics weren't consistently replenished.
